Durante cincuenta a\u00f1os, las voces y los movimientos ind\u00edgenas han se\u00f1alado la necesidad de que la humanidad respete y valore a la Madre Tierra. Mientras los cient\u00edficos miden el planeta y hacen sonar las alarmas sobre los horrores cada vez m\u00e1s previsibles del cambio clim\u00e1tico, los videntes y visionarios ind\u00edgenas conectan tambi\u00e9n con los mensajes centrales de la Madre Tierra.<\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Barreiro es visible como defensor de la indigeneidad, en una misi\u00f3n de toda la vida para crear la comprensi\u00f3n y la aplicaci\u00f3n de una filosof\u00eda ind\u00edgena de comunidad localizada, valorando la relaci\u00f3n hombre-tierra-naturaleza y la gran gama de conocimientos eco-sist\u00e9micos de las culturas nativas. Con apreciables contribuciones en su campo de visi\u00f3n, Barreiro como escritor, periodista, historiador oral, organizador de campo de grandes eventos p\u00fablicos, curador, activista, acad\u00e9mico y editor en jefe, aparece a lo largo de cuarenta a\u00f1os de activismo social y de derechos humanos en nombre de los pueblos nativos, desde principios de los a\u00f1os 70 hasta el presente, reconocido por su consistencia como comunicador y defensor. Barreiro es miembro de la Naci\u00f3n Ta\u00edna de las Antillas.<\/p>\n
